Do I have what it takes to be your coach?

I went from a closet nerd engineer of 10 years to Personal Finance Coach and I LOVE IT!!

I have completed Financial Coach Master Training led by Ramsey Solutions (Yes, Dave Ramsey) and graduated from Financial Coach Academy.

I've taught Financial Peace University (FPU) at my local church, reaching 75+ individuals to help conquer their goals!

And last but most important...

I have a HUGE passion for personal finance where I live to serve young families and help them stop stressing over money and focus on what matters most.

My Story

My Story

Growing up I remember money was not a fun topic to discuss and in fact brought worry to me as a kid. I didn't worry about money per say but I did worry about my parents who always fought about it. They would fight about unnecessary purchases, unplanned stops at the ATM, etc.

As a kid, I hated when my parents fought.

They endured:

job loss, a house foreclosure,,bankruptcy, DIVORCE

From that experience, I knew I would do everything possible to ensure my future husband and kids would not go through those same worries.

I wanted PEACE for my kids and for my marriage.

BUT, fast forward a bunch of years...

I earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering, I met and married the man of my dreams, and bought a new car so I could get back and forth to work with ease. It really wasn't until my student loan 6 month grace period was over when reality set in.

As newlyweds, my husband and I had:

$100,000 student loan debt
$30,000 of car debt

When we realized that our hard-earned money combined with our spending habits weren't going to cover the bills and save for retirement, WE FREAKED OUT!

We work so hard, where is our money going?
Will we always feel STRESSED and OVERWHELMED?
Is living paycheck to paycheck just how it has to be?

The answer we discovered was NO.

Our family got on a financial plan that worked for us, became debt-free in 30 months, and now have a daughter and son who live in a debt-free environment and they don't have to listen to money fights since we are at peace with our finances.

I started Family Wise Financial Coach so that your financial journey can avoid the bumps and bruises we went through. I will guide you with each step until you feel confident and empowered to take on your family finances. But be aware, I love to celebrate even the smallest victories so if you are ready for fun so am I.
